Abby Reider
Therapist・Coach・Facilitator・Consultant
Drawing on my background in clinical and organizational psychology, I partner with individuals, leaders, and teams to build insight, develop practical skills, accomplish goals, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My work spans three areas:
For adults in California and Australia
For leaders and professionals worldwide
For leaders, teams, and organizations globally

How I work — combining psychology, empathy, and evidence-based, practical tools
No matter the setting — whether I’m meeting one-on-one with a therapy or coaching client or facilitating a workshop or off-site for a team — I bring curiosity, empathy, and a focus on practical, evidence-based skills that make a real difference.
I believe real growth comes from combining self-awareness with action: understanding the patterns that hold us back while building the tools and habits to move forward and accomplish goals. Across all of my work, I aim to create a supportive space where insight translates into clarity and meaningful change.
From Silicon Valley to Sydney — experience that bridges psychology, leadership, and learning
Therapy + Coaching
I've spent over a decade supporting people through stress, anxiety, grief, relationship and career challenges, life transitions, health concerns, and the pressures of fast-paced lives. My experience spans private practice, hospitals, schools, start-ups, and global organizations, working with adults from a wide range of backgrounds.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California, where I provide online psychotherapy. In Australia, I offer psychotherapy online and in person in Sydney. Coaching is available globally.
Consulting + Workshops
I’ve facilitated 500+ workshops for managers, leaders, and employees and have consulted for and led offsites for public companies, VC firms, and high-growth technology companies in the U.S. and Australia. Through LifeLabs Learning, my clients included Google, Reddit, Pinterest, Dropbox, and Figma, among others. Internally at Stripe, I redesigned and led the company's flagship leadership development program during a period of rapid growth and supported 800+ managers through new performance and compensation processes.
Education + Training
I hold a BA in Political Science from Yale University and a Master of Social Work from Smith College, where my training focused on psychotherapy, interpersonal dynamics, neuroscience, and human behavior. During and after my master's program, I completed 4,000 hours of supervised clinical experience and then passed an extensive exam to qualify as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California.
I have thousands of additional hours of, and continue to pursue, advanced professional development in psychotherapy, neuroscience, leadership science, somatic and mind-body approaches, adult learning, and coaching.
A bit more...
I grew up in Silicon Valley and built my career in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to Sydney, Australia in 2024. Both places now feel like home, and my work continues to span California, Australia, and clients and organizations around the world.
I’m a lifelong psychology and personal-growth nerd. I'm continually learning: exploring research, new therapeutic approaches, and practical tools while carefully considering how they can help the people I work with.
Outside of work, I recharge through ocean swimming, hiking, cooking, spending time in nature, and being with the people I love.
