Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and/or ready for growth?

Hi! I'm Abby, and I'm here to help.

Whatever you're navigating, you don't have to go it alone. With 10+ years of experience as a psychotherapist, I offer a warm, confidential, and supportive environment to better understand yourself, work through challenges, and create meaningful change.

My approach combines depth and insight with practical tools, helping you not only understand the patterns shaping your life but develop new ways of responding to them.

Sessions are offered online in California and Australia, and in person in Tamarama, Sydney.

Insight that helps you move forward

You may understand intellectually why you feel or behave a certain way and still find yourself repeating the same patterns. Or you may simply know that something isn’t working and want support figuring out what needs to change.

My style of therapy combines curiosity about the deeper patterns shaping your life with practical tools you can use outside the therapy room. We can explore where things came from without getting stuck there — and work toward helping you feel and function differently in the present.

A collaborative, personalized approach

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I draw from multiple evidence-informed therapeutic approaches and tailor our work to your needs:

  • Psychodynamic Therapy

  • Attachment-based approaches

  • Relational Therapy

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Mindfulness and somatic practices

  • Evidence-based activities and exercises

Cultivating a strong therapeutic relationship

I aim to facilitate a compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative space where you feel safe, seen, and supported. Research shows that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest contributors to meaningful change in therapy, so finding someone you genuinely feel comfortable with matters.

Building insight and awareness

The challenges we face today are often shaped by our past experiences, relationships and the systems around us — sometimes in ways we do not fully recognize. Together, we'll explore the patterns beneath the surface so you can better understand yourself and have more choice in how you move forward.

Utilizing strengths and developing skills

Insight is important, but I also want therapy to help you in your everyday life. We'll build on the strengths you already have while developing practical skills and strategies to navigate challenges, relationships, emotions, and change with greater confidence and ease.

Across modalities, my approach to therapy centers on three things:

Integrative, holistic support for the whole person

Mental and emotional well-being don’t exist in isolation. Sleep, relationships, physical health, work, movement, stress, identity, community, and major life changes can all influence how we feel.

I meet you where you are and support you in working toward the goals that matter to you. For clients interested in exploring beyond traditional talk therapy, I also bring a strong background in mindfulness and mind-body approaches and can help you consider complementary resources and supports when appropriate.

Together, we can develop an approach that incorporates lifestyle choices and holistic supports in ways that feel authentic, useful, and sustainable for you.

Finding the right professionals can also be overwhelming. When helpful, I can connect you with trusted complementary practitioners and services and — with your permission — collaborate with other members of your care team so that the support you’re receiving feels aligned and coordinated.
